The Situation Escalates
Ivelisse never took her eyes off the man in front of her, watching closely as he seemed to be getting more frustrated with the security officer. It became clear that whatever he was carrying, he didn’t want to have to dispose of before he boarded the plane. Had it been the nineties, there may have been some wiggle room for him to get his way. Unfortunately, there was no amount of bargaining that would change the outcome of this situation, and he was asked to throw it away. Ivelisse wasn’t about to sit back and do nothing about it.

After throwing away the parcel, the man in question must have thought that that would be the end of the situation. He was crying as he walked through the security gates. Ivelisse had an idea. Preparing to say goodbye to Rico, she asked him if he could do her a favor and try to retrieve the package from the garbage before he left. He had just been there to drop her off, and was returning home shortly. This would be a decision that Ivelisse would remember for the rest of her life.
