Ira Keys was another collector gentleman of the United States. The 81-year-old man took his coin hoard in 2015 to Prosperity Bank in Slaton, Texas. Keys had a coin trove that weighed 500 pounds and came to $816. He discussed his commitment with KCBD, and NBC station, saying that his father had urged him to save money when he was young. Keys had obviously taken his father’s advice to heart, perhaps a bit too strongly! He had put this cash away from 1952 onward.
