Ksenia Vasilevskiy – Andrei Vasilevskiy
Meeting by chance on a plane headed for Moscow, the couple seemingly had one of the more improbably encounters one might imagine. Ksenia was on a trip heading home, and Andrei was playing in the Russian junior hockey league, with a stop in Moscow on the itinerary. The two hit it off and exchanged information. They then continued the connection over social media. The connection between the two was unstoppable, culminating in their 2014 wedding. They moved to New York, where their first son Lukas was born shortly after. Lucas arrived early, with Ksenia going into labor and delivering while Andrei was playing in an NHL game.
