1911 Flying Merkel

The 1911 Flying Merkel motorcycle cannot fly despite its name but has done some amazing job throughout its time. The board track racer was designed by Joseph Merkel, a famous inventor at the time. Some of the other models designed under the Merkel name were the Merkel and Merkel Light. Interestingly, both the Merkel and Merkel Light were released before the 1911 Flying Merkel came on the scene. However, only a limited amount was manufactured, and not many people got to experience them while on the road. But, being a historic ride, you may have to fork out an average of $423,500 to own one.

1894 Roper Steam Motorcycle

The 1894 Roper Steam Motorcycle is one of the earliest and first motorcycles to be created and, as it stands, could cost you an average of $425,000. The bike was designed and manufactured back in 1894, but interestingly, the first model was sold only 27 years later. We are not sure what caused the date gap. Only a small amount of these motorcycles were created, and for the ones that exist to this day, the owners are surely keeping them in a safe place. It seems they rarely take them outdoors, and since this is the case, it could be a hard case for us who have not seen one in person as that might never happen.
