The hero of this next story was called Liang, who, at the age of 9, was totally smitten. He believed that the only way to prove his love for the girl of his dreams was to swear that one day, he would purchase her an engagement ring.

Over the following 20 years, Liang kept as much spare change as was humanly possible. This may not have been Anders’ 45 years-long saga, but he was hoarding more than just pennies. It was any kind of change.
