A Gentle Shake
Carefully lifting the ornament, Priscilla agreed that Kat should shine the light through the glass from different angles, so they could see if there were any secret compartments. She told her daughter that she would give it a few gentle shakes, to see if they could gather any extra clues. After the first shake, it was now obvious that there was something inside the object, clearly visible in the bright light of the torch too. This was no ordinary ornament, that’s for sure.

It wasn’t long before the women realized that there were two small compartments inside the object, as well as an additional area that seemed to be storing a powder of sorts. The idea that it might be containing the ashes of someone’s loved one crossed their mind immediately. If this was the case, they wouldn’t want to disturb the remains. Priscilla decided that she wanted to spread the word about the object, to see if someone else might be able to confirm this theory.
