No Days Off
If you are someone who loves weekends, just the idea of the weekend makes you grin, then working on a cruise ship is not for you. Most cruise ship workers do not get one single day off while onboard. Usually, they are contracted for sets of about nine months, and they are working pretty much straight through that time.That being said, it is not all bad, and the crew are not working 24/7 but they work on a rotational basis. So instead of having full days off, they get some hours of downtime every day. When the contract is up, there is a two-month-long vacation.
