This was the real estate investor and philanthropist, Laurence. S. Geller’s master business strategy which Anbang Insurance Group, a Chinese business, was supposedly on the verge of quiring in 2016 for $6.5 million. It seems like this deal entered a stalemate, however, as Strategic Hotels and Resorts’ sale eventually shed one million dollars. This loss was due to a troublesome property being barred from sale, due to its strategic proximity to a naval base.
